Football Game Preview: Ganado Indians vs. Thorndale Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Ganado Indians will challenge the Thorndale Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ganado is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Three Rivers a 55-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Indians as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Landyn Arriaga continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 139 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 190 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Those 139 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. John Utley was another key player, rushing for 100 yards on only seven carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Ganado proved: they limited Three Rivers to a paltry 1.7 yards per carry. While two picked up at least five total tackles, Arriaga stood above the rest. He rushed for 139 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 190 yards and two TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Ganado didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.5.

Meanwhile, Thorndale took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over Moody. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ganado's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Thorndale, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Everything came up roses for Ganado against Thorndale in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, as the team secured a 66-12 win. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
