Softball Recap: Lakeland Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

It's playoff time, and Lakeland had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rice Lake Warriors a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Thunderbirds have won by just one run.

Lakeland is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Rice Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.

Looking ahead, Lakeland will take on Denmark on the 13th. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Thunderbirds surely won't give up without a fight. Rice Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
