Soccer Recap: Jones Comes Up Short

Jones managed to keep up with Calhoun until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Jones Trojans might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Calhoun Sandcrabs an easy 4-1 win. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Jones and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Calhoun, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

After both having extra time off, Jones and Pleasanton will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Calhoun, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sweeny at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
