Softball Recap: Shamokin Area Finds Home Field Redemption Against Our Lady of Lourdes Regional

There's no place like home for Shamokin Area, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past the Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Red Raiders 17-2 on Saturday. With that victory, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

AUTUMN KEHLER was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. KEHLER was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, FELICIA ZIGNER was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was AVA HUGHES, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

Shamokin Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Shamokin Area's record is now 3-7. As for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.
