Softball Recap: Lee Vining Comes Up Short

The Lee Vining Tigers lost 14-3 to the Mineral County Serpents on Tuesday.

Lee Vining's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mineral County, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee Vining will venture away from home to challenge Trona at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tornadoes have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Mineral County, they will take on Virginia City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Muckers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.87 runs per game on average), something the Serpents will no doubt try to take advantage of.
