Softball Recap: Plano West Has No Trouble Against Princeton

Plano West got themselves on the board against Princeton on Friday, but Princeton never followed suit. They blew past the Princeton Panthers 12-0. That looming 12-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolves yet this season.

Kendall Prowell made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. In other batting news, Isabella Dunn was a standout: she scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted two hits, the most she's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Elyse Mikes, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Plano West hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in eight consecutive matchups.

Plano West's record now sits at 10-6. As for Princeton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Plano West and Princeton will both be playing Prosper the next time they take the field. Princeton will head out to face Prosper at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Plano West will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
