Max Dempsey was unstoppable on Tuesday, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with one or fewer walks. For the year, he has been strong no matter where he plays. On the mound, he has an ERA of 1.98 over 42.1 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat he has slashed 0.525/0.595/0.820 with 26 RBI, plus 31 stolen bases.

Even though Dempsey couldn't lead Edisto over Bamberg-Ehrhardt, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long.
