Volleyball Recap: Moreau Catholic Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Moreau Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the De La Salle Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Mariners were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Moreau Catholic started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 13-25, 16-25, 25-21, 26-24, 15-9.

With the defeat, Moreau Catholic broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 29-6. As for De La Salle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-12.

Moreau Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for De La Salle, they will face off against Northgate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
