Baseball Game Preview: Cushing Tigers vs. North Rock Creek Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Cushing Tigers face off against North Rock Creek Cougars at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Cushing didn't have quite enough to beat North Rock Creek and fell 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For North Rock Creek's part, Alexander Monge looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Monge has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, North Rock Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Plumb, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

The win was the third in a row for North Rock Creek, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cushing, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
