Seaholm/Groves posted their closest win since September 10, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Franklin Patriots 2-1. This was payback for the Maples, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Seaholm/Groves now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Franklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

After both having extra time off, Seaholm/Groves and Detroit Country Day will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:30 p.m. on September 4. As for Franklin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Groves on the 26th.
