Soccer Game Preview: Hamilton vs. Tharptown

The Hamilton Aggies will head out to face off against the Tharptown Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Hamilton managed to keep up with Mars Hill Bible until halftime last Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Aggies lost 4-1 to the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Hamilton couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Tharptown scored first but ultimately less than Madison Academy in their matchup on Thursday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Mustangs who were credited with the victory. Madison Academy got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Tharptown's three.

Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Tharptown, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4.

Hamilton might still be hurting after the 5-2 defeat they got from Tharptown in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Aggies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
