Basketball Game Preview: Chapin Eagles vs. Lexington Wildcats

Chapin hasn't had much luck against Lexington recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chapin Eagles will challenge the Lexington Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chapin is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They were outmatched by Dutch Fork and fell 68-40. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Silver Foxes are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against Irmo, falling 66-37.

Chapin's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Everything went Chapin's way against Lexington when the teams last played back in January, as Chapin made off with a 63-39 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chapin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
