Softball Recap: Schaumburg Comes Up Short

Schaumburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Addison Trail Blazers.

Madison Mueller was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Schaumburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Addison Trail, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Schaumburg will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Forest at 4:45 p.m. on April 2. As for Addison Trail, they will welcome Metea Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
