Basketball Recap: Will Tremel's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bishop Carroll over Penn Cambria

Bishop Carroll was the 79-69 winner over Penn Cambria when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bishop Carroll Huskies fell 51-44 to the Penn Cambria Panthers on Monday. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Will Tremel, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Joey Phillips, who earned ten points and three steals.

Penn Cambria's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caden Gibbons, who went 7 of 15 en route to 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Brandon Rabish was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 16 points.

Bishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Penn Cambria, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
