Patrick Henry is still undefeated this season after their match against Miller City on Monday, but Miller City came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Patriots came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the Wildcats. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Patrick Henry got a massive performance out of Sophie Schwab, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Schwab also put up two doubles, which were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kasey Nelson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Patrick Henry was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Patrick Henry pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Miller City, Kalida, and Kalida. As for the Wildcats, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Patrick Henry wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-2 win against Van Buren on the 1st. As for Miller City, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-4 victory against Kalida on the 1st.
