Volleyball Recap: Goose Creek Takes a Loss

After flying high against Timberland on Monday, Goose Creek came back down to earth. The Gators came up short against the Cane Bay Cobras on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Gators were not able to make up for their loss to the Cobras from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-18, 25-7.

Leanna Boscana was the offensive standout of the contest as she had five digs and five aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 11 matchups.

Goose Creek has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Cane Bay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Goose Creek is set to face off against their familiar foe Berkeley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cane Bay will square off against rival Wando at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
