Syracuse entered their tilt with Deerfield on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on September 6th.

Syracuse not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Deerfield between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18.

Hailey Hampton paced Syracuse's offense, picking up nine kills. Hampton were helped by Anelixz Moreno and Kimber Thomeczek, who contributed six assists each. Hampton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Deerfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11-1 record this season.

Syracuse has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Elkhart on the 30th. As for Deerfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 0-0 tie against Stanton County on the 29th.
