Volleyball Recap: North Newton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

North Newton extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-13. They lost 3-0 to the Frontier Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Andrijana Barron paced North Newton's offense, picking up four kills. Barron got some help from Riley Higgins and her two assists.

As for Frontier, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-14. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 3rd (when they won 3-0).

Frontier found their leader in freshman Emma Lamson, who had 13 digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Lamson.

Coming up, North Newton will face off against Kankakee Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Frontier, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Faith Christian on the 18th.
