Soccer Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central lost against Lecanto back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Central Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lecanto Panthers. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Giorgi Barkaia, who's now up to five this season.

Central now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Lecanto, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Central didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 defeat against Citrus on the 10th. As for Lecanto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 6-2 loss against Nature Coast Tech on the 10th.
