Basketball Game Preview: Thurgood Marshall Cougars vs. Dunbar Wolverines

The Thurgood Marshall Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Dunbar Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Thurgood Marshall saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Westland.

Meanwhile, Dunbar scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 76-65 to Buchtel. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Griffins are ranked 84th).

Thurgood Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Dunbar, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Thurgood Marshall came up short against Dunbar in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 58-48. Can Thurgood Marshall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
