Basketball Game Preview: Port Huron Northern Huskies vs. Fraser Ramblers

The Port Huron Northern Huskies will square off against the Fraser Ramblers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Port Huron Northern is headed into Thursday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chippewa Valley on Friday.

Meanwhile, Fraser had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Vikings with points to spare, taking the game 45-28. Given the Ramblers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Vikings are ranked 338th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fraser's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Port Huron Northern, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Port Huron Northern skirted past Fraser 59-57 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Port Huron Northern since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
