Football Game Preview: Sequoyah vs. Sweetwater

On Friday Sequoyah take on Sweetwater at 7:30 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

Last week, Sequoyah put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They made easy work of Hixson and carried off a 35-14 victory. With Sequoyah ahead 28-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Meanwhile, after soaring high against McMinn Central three weeks ago, Icarus fell to the ground. Sweetwater lost to Brainerd by a decisive 0-19 margin.

Sequoyah's win lifted them to 4-1 while Sweetwater's loss dropped them down to 1-3. In their win, Sequoyah relied heavily on junior Evan Swanson, who rushed for 211 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sweetwater will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
