Baseball Recap: Lewiston Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Lewiston's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Sandpoint Bulldogs on Saturday. The Bengals just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Lewiston saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Casey, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Lewiston's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Sandpoint, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sandpoint beat Lewiston by a score of 16-6 later that day.
