Softball Preview: Talawanda Brave vs. Arcanum Trojans
The Talawanda Brave will head out on the road to face off against the Arcanum Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Talawanda had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Edgewood 5-3.
Kaylee Griffin was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Frieden, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Arcanum took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (barely). They had just enough and edged Troy out 2-1. After a 12-11 finish the last time they played, Arcanum and Troy decided to play a little more cautiously this time around.
Talawanda came up short against Arcanum when the teams last played back in March of 2023, falling 14-10. Can Talawanda avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
