Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Valley Comes Up Short

Evergreen Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Leigh Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

While Evergreen Valley ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18.

Evergreen Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Leigh, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Evergreen Valley nor Leigh have any future games scheduled.
