Basketball Recap: South Garland Comes Up Short

South Garland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 61-7 loss at the hands of the Wylie East Raiders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-19 back in December of 2024.

Mya Williams was South Garland's leading scorer, having posted three points.

South Garland's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Wylie East, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-16.

It'll be Northside v. Southside when South Garland and North Garland meet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Garland is facing North Garland at the right time seeing as North Garland is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Wylie East, they will be playing at home against Naaman Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wylie East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
