North Iredell is 8-2 against West Iredell since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The North Iredell Raiders will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the West Iredell Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Wednesday, North Iredell came up short against Freedom and fell 12-7.

Meanwhile, West Iredell lost 17-6 to North Iredell on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mattie Blankenship made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Morrison, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

North Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went North Iredell's way against West Iredell in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as North Iredell made off with a 17-6 victory. Will North Iredell repeat their success, or does West Iredell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
