Basketball Recap: Hudson Ridge Takes a Loss

Hudson Ridge lost against Waterford-Halfmoon back in January of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hudson Ridge Thunder Chicken took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians. The Thunder Chicken have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Hudson Ridge still got an impressive performance from Julius Brown, who posted 37 points. Brown's evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. James Calcagno was another key player, putting up seven points.

Hudson Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Waterford-Halfmoon, their win ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hudson Ridge and Burr & Burton will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waterford-Halfmoon, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mechanicville at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
