Basketball Recap: Meridian Piles Up the Points Against Oak Harbor

Meridian lost to Oak Harbor back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Meridian Trojans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Oak Harbor Wildcats 51-16. That looming 51-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Meridian and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Oak Harbor, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meridian will head out to face off against Lynden at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Harbor, they are taking a road trip to take on Blaine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Oak Harbor is facing Blaine at the right time seeing as Blaine is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
