Greenwich suffers seventh straight loss on the road

Recap: Greenwich Cardinals vs. St. Joseph Cadets

The Greenwich Cardinals fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the St. Joseph Cadets on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 57-54. Greenwich just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.

Tj Wright was his usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with two steals for St. Joseph. Wright hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Febus, who scored 16 points along with three steals.

Greenwich's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for St. Joseph, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Greenwich will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wilton at 7:00 p.m. As for St. Joseph, they will head out on the road to take on Ridgefield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
