Jalen Peace gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April of 2024 on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Peace's strong effort led Union Area over Summit Academy and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights are limping into the matchup having lost nine straight at home dating back to last season.
