Blount came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hillcrest Jaguars 15-6. The result was nothing new for the Leopards, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Blount let John Armstead and Christopher Wiggins Jr run wild. Armstead scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Wiggins Jr scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Blount is undefeated when Armstead posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-5 otherwise. Joshua Zine Jr. was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Blount was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Blount's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Hillcrest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Blount will host Williamson at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hillcrest, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Hillcrest Jaguars face off against Monroe County Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on the 11th.
