Basketball Recap: Roman Wassink Key Part of a Team Effort in Pirates Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westfield, Clymer Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They took down the Ellicottville Eagles 41-22. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 35-33 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Clymer Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roman Wassink, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Einink, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

The win got Clymer Central back to even at 6-6. As for Ellicottville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Clymer Central will take on Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ellicottville has already played their next matchup (against Portville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
