Softball Recap: Greenfield Comes Up Short

Greenfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Watsonville Wildcatz, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcatz this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-3 two weeks ago.

Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Watsonville, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Greenfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 24-0 defeat against Los Gatos on the 15th. As for Watsonville, they have also already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Mercy on the 15th.
