Basketball Game Preview: Community Baptist Conqueror vs. Clover Garden School Grizzlies

Community Baptist is 0-4 against Clover Garden School since November of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Community Baptist Conqueror will look to defend their home court against the Clover Garden School Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Community Baptist is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game back in December of 2024. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Westover Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, the Conqueror can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 503rd in North Carolina, while the Bulldogs are ranked 215th in Virginia).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 65 points the game before, Clover Garden School was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 67-24 loss at the hands of Chatham Charter. The contest marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Clover Garden School's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Community Baptist, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-5.

Community Baptist took a serious blow against Clover Garden School when the teams last played back in December of 2019, falling 86-41. Thankfully for Community Baptist, Noah Tickle (who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
