Soccer Game Preview: Danbury vs. Ridgefield

The Danbury Hatters are taking a road trip to square off against the Ridgefield Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Danbury's offense. They fell just short of Norwalk by a score of 1-0 on Friday. Danbury have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Ridgefield had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 4-1 win. Considering Ridgefield have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Ridgefield's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Danbury, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1.

Danbury couldn't quite get it done against Ridgefield in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Hatters avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
