Volleyball Game Preview: Oconomowoc Raccoons vs. Hamilton Chargers

Oconomowoc has gone 9-1 against Hamilton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Raccoons will square off against the Chargers. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Oconomowoc sitting on 12 straight victories and Hamilton on four.

Oconomowoc is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Brookfield East by a score of 3-1.

Oconomowoc's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayce Keller, who had 20 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Keller has posted since back in September. Sage Christman was another key player, getting 11 digs and two aces.

Oconomowoc was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 12 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Hamilton faced Menomonee Falls in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Chargers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Phoenix.

Oconomowoc's victory bumped their record up to 39-2. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 36-8.

Oconomowoc was able to grind out a solid victory over Hamilton in their previous meeting back in August of 2022, winning 2-0. Will the Raccoons repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
