Softball Recap: Penfield Takes a Loss

The Penfield Patriots didn't have quite enough to beat the James Madison Warhawks on Thursday and fell 7-6. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Young was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Clark, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Penfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for James Madison, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Penfield will be taking part in a tournament against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. As for James Madison, they will head out on the road to face off against University at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
