There's no place like home for Mescalero Apache, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past the Lordsburg Mavericks with a 58-53 victory on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Chiefs: when they faced off against the Mavericks two weeks ago, they had to take a 81-58 loss.

Mescalero Apache's win bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Lordsburg, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-14.

Coincidentally, Mescalero Apache and Lordsburg will both be playing Mesilla Valley Christian School the next time they take the court. Mescalero Apache will head out to face Mesilla Valley Christian School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lordsburg will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
