Recap: Lawrence County Red Devils vs. Russellville Golden Tigers
After a string of three wins, the Lawrence County Red Devils's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Russellville, falling 97-51. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lawrence County in their matchups with Russellville: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zander Keepers, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Braylon Dame, who scored 12 points.
Lawrence County's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Russellville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Lawrence County will be playing at home against Mae Jemison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mae Jemison is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Russellville won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Florence at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th.
