Baseball Recap: Christian Educational Consortium Takes a Loss

Christian Educational Consortium lost against Pleasure Ridge Park back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cougars fell 10-7 to the Panthers.

Josh Geddes and Xander Collins did some serious damage despite the final result: Geddes got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run, while Collins got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Jack Patterson, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Christian Educational Consortium has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their 35th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Christian Educational Consortium will square off against Christian Academy-Louisville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Centurions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pleasure Ridge Park, they will take on Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.33 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
