Flag Football Recap: Lake Havasu Skates Past Central with Ease

While Lake Havasu put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Central. The Knights took their contest with ease, bagging a 56-0 win over the Bobcats. Fans of the Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

McKenna Nutt produced another solid performance throwing for 209 yards and six touchdowns while completing 73.9% of her passes, and also rushing for 34 yards and one score. Those 209 passing yards gave her a new career-high. Ashlynn King was Nutt's top target, picking up 30 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Lake Havasu didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. It was a group effort, with five picking up one apiece.

The victory keeps Lake Havasu at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 47.3 points this season. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Havasu will face off against Notre Dame Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central, they will challenge North Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats are facing the Rattlers at the right time seeing as the Rattlers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
