Basketball Recap: Clifton-Clyde Comes Up Short

Clifton-Clyde was the 58-36 winner over Hanover when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Clifton-Clyde Eagles took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hanover Wildcats on Friday.

Hanover's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Bruna, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Bruna is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Garrett Martin, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Clifton-Clyde now has a losing record at 4-5-2. As for Hanover, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Clifton-Clyde has already played their next match, a 65-51 win against Centralia on the 25th. As for Hanover, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-61 defeat against Axtell on the 25th.
