Basketball Recap: Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls vs. Onalaska Wildcats
Anderson-Shiro lost against Onalaska two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls received a blow as they fell 82-64 to the Onalaska Wildcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Fighting Owls still had to take the loss.
Onalaska found their leader in sophomore Spencer Green, who went 9 of 18 en route to 31 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Green has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Patrick Roth, who posted nine points along with seven steals and five boards.
Anderson-Shiro has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-12 record this season. As for Onalaska, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anderson-Shiro will take on New Waverly at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Onalaska, they will square off against Coldspring-Oakhurst at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
