Basketball Game Preview: Green River Pirates vs. Grand County Red Devils + How To Watch

Green River hasn't had much luck against Grand County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pirates will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Green River managed to slip by San Juan the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 77-55 to the Broncos on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Pirates' undefeated start to the season.

Green River might have lost, but man, Jason Hernandez was a machine: he went 6-for-11 on his way to 18 points. The matchup was Hernandez's third in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rolando Anguiano, who posted six points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Grand County suffered their biggest loss since December 10, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Draper APA, falling 60-38. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.

Grand County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Green River, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Green River couldn't quite get it done against Grand County in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 as they fell 76-65. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
