Basketball Recap: Spotsylvania Takes a Loss

Spotsylvania was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were beaten by the Culpeper County Blue Devils 87-30. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-18.

AmyAh Robinson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Culpeper County, going 20 for 36 on her way to 50 points along with five assists and five steals. The contest was Robinson's 30th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kelley Hutcherson, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine assists.

Spotsylvania's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Culpeper County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Spotsylvania has already played their next matchup, a 52-16 loss against Chancellor on the 24th. As for Culpeper County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-70 defeat against James Monroe on the 23rd.
