Mentor won the last time they faced Strongsville, and  Chazz Weigel did his part to make sure it happened again. The Cardinals walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the Mustangs  on Tuesday with plenty of help from  Weigel, who  had 20  digs and two  aces. With that strong performance,  he is now averaging an impressive 10.7  digs per game.
 If you add up the scores from across all four sets (96-93) Mentor actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-23, 14-25,  25-21.
 Despite the loss, Strongsville still got an impressive performance from   Anthony Pinzone, who  had 19  assists and seven  digs. Pinzone has been hot, having  posted 12 or more  assists the last eight times he's  played.
Mentor now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Strongsville, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-5.
 Mentor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  3-0  win against Euclid on the 24th. As for Strongsville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-2  loss against St. Edward on the 23rd.
