Basketball Recap: Ravenna Takes a Loss

Ravenna lost against Rootstown back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ravenna Ravens were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to the Rootstown Rovers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (56), the Ravens still had to take the loss.

Ravenna dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Rootstown, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.

Ravenna and Rootstown could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Ravenna will square off against Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 525 places (717 vs. 192). Similarly, Rootstown (ranked 793rd) will meet Lake Center Christian (ranked 298th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
