Baseball Recap: Ridge Community Comes Up Short

Ridge Community lost against Lake Region last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Ridge Community lost 21-9 to Lake Region. The Bolts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ridge Community saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deniel Serrano, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Serrano has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Ridge Community now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Lake Region, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Ridge Community will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Haines City at 6:30 p.m. As for Lake Region, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
