Baseball Recap: Ludlow Gets the Win

Ludlow took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Granby, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lions won by a run and slipped past the Rams 9-8. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 7-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for Ludlow and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Granby, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Ludlow will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Hopkins Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for Granby, they will venture away from home to face off against Hampshire Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
